Using our findings
Trust Index findings are free to quote, republish and build on. Credit the Trust Index and link to the finding you used.
What you can reuse
Each finding page and its charts are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You can quote, republish, translate, adapt and use them commercially, as long as you give credit and link back.
How to credit
Use the citation on each finding page, or this format:
In short pieces, "Source: The Trust Index (thetrustindex.ai)" with a link to the finding is enough.
What the licence does not cover
- The method, the scoring and the software that produces them. The methodology is published under CC BY-ND 4.0: you may share it unchanged, with credit.
- The underlying answer data, the downloadable data files and the eligible-business lists. They are free to use for checking, reporting and research with credit; commercial use or redistribution needs a data licence (see terms).
- The Trust Index name, badge and visual identity, which are trademarks of LittPro Inc. Only LittPro Inc. issues Trust Index ratings, and only licensed assessors may run Trust Index assessments.
- Business names and logos shown on the site, which belong to their owners.
Cite the version you used
Every finding shows its capture dates, the runs it is based on, when it was published and when it was last updated. Changes are recorded in the corrections log on the finding page. If you cite a finding, include its date.
Who publishes the index
The Trust Index is published by LittPro Inc. No company related to the publisher uses a finding before it is public here, or on different terms from anyone else; see section 8 of the methodology.
Questions and corrections
To report an error in a finding, use the corrections form. For other questions about reuse, use the same form and write "Other" as the type of request.
